Recognized internationally as one of Australia’s leading Professional Ballroom Dancers. Michael has branched into stage work. Starring on stage as Dance Magic throughout Australia and overseas. Taking ballroom dancing to the public as never seen before.

Being involved in a Royal Command Performance for the rededication of the Sydney Town Hall. Michael also starred in the New South Wales Premiers concert at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

Experienced in both television and radio, appearing regularly on Good Morning Australia, Michael became recognized as Australia’s foremost dance cabaret artist.

Michael has lectured, taught and adjudicated dancing throughout the world. He has visited such countries as the United Kingdom, Singapore, Indonesia, New Zealand, Peoples Republic of China, Taiwan. A regular performer on the major cruise liners such as the QEII, Oriana, Canberra, Royal Viking Star.

January 1993, in a cultural exchange, Michael was guest of honour at the Australian Embassy in Hong Kong for Australia Day celebrations, before beginning a dance tour of Hong Kong and the Peoples Republic of China. He performed in front of capacity crowds and also ran seminars and lectures on dance for the local Professionals and Amateur dancers.

During the tour of the Peoples Republic of China Michael did a special performance in front of the International Olympic Committee who were touring the city of Beijing, prior to the selection of Sydney for the 2001 Olympic Games.

In 1995, Michael performed his world acclaimed Phantom of the Opera dance cabaret in the Sydney Opera House as a preview to the award winning musical.

Michael’s other talents lay in his ability to produce dance productions and championships. Co-coordinator of the Australian National Dance Championships and compere of the Show dance Events. His team building and communication skills help make his events the most spectacular and successful in Australia.

His design of costumes and backdrops makes him a sort after consultant within the entertainment world, both in the theatre and television.

Since arriving in the United States in April 2002, Michael has continued his successful career as a performer, choreographer and teacher of dancing.

With his partner, Michael has performed shows throughout the Washington D.C area, in Alabama and New York. Demonstrating the style and techniques of both International and American dancing.

As a choreographer, Michael has done extensive community work with local theatre companies and schools. He was invited to do the choreography for the Potomac Mills High School production of Hello Dolly. Working extensively with the students in dance classes during and after school hours.

Also Michael teaches the faculty at Damascus high school, who is working towards using dance as a tool of better relationships building between faculty and students.

Michael also teaches at local community centers in Fairfax County, Virginia. Introducing dance to people who have not had the opportunity to experience how the fun and enjoyment that dance and music can bring communities together.

As a dance teacher and coach Michael is in extensive demand. Training and coaching competitive couples from the Professional and Amateur ranks. Plus competitors who compete in the Pro/Am dance circuit across America. Michael has been placed in the top 6 dance coaches at various competitions throughout the United States.

This has brought an influx of competitors seeking his knowledge and mentoring amateur and pro/am students to championships in North Carolina, Maryland, Florida and Ohio.
Twice Michael has been awarded top teacher awards and top dance studio at the 2004 North Carolina Classic winning over 145 competitions with his students.

Michael has worked with Department of the Army, Headquarters, United States Army Garrison, Fort Myer and Fort Belvoir. Where a program of dance classes was established to help integrate base personnel with their buddy systems, social skills, confidence building

Local ice dancers who are part of the United States Olympic Squad have also enlisted his expertise in dance artistry. Michael’s role is to help them with their choreography on the ice and presentation skills to the judges and audience.

Michael is currently working on a new stage production that is expected to rival the success of Burn the Floor, which is currently touring the world.
